Fishing

Drimnin is an ideal location for those wishing to fish, and for those wishing to sit and enjoy the view while others in the party fish. There is sea fishing along the Estate shoreline or by chartered boat from nearby at Lochaline and brown trout fishing on the hill lochans. Rod and tackle hire is available.

Brown Trout

Try fishing for brown trout from our two well stocked hill lochs which offer seclusion and stunning views. Fishing is fly fishing and by permit only (please contact the Estate Office) and we operate a catch and release policy. A small number of rods, reels and flies are available for your use, but are shared with the other guests on the Estate, therefore to avoid disappointment we do recommend bringing your own equipment if you have it.  The wild brown trout season is from the 15th of March until the 6th of October. Please note that neither lochans are accessible by car, 1km walk from parking area. Please contact the Estate should you require additional information about access.
