Travel Directions for Drimnin Estate and Holiday Accommodation

By Road
Coming from the south, head north on the A82 towards Fort William and about 1.5 miles after Onich, take the Corran Ferry to Ardgour. If you're coming from the north, continue past Fort William on the A82 south for about 8 miles, and the Corran Ferry will be on your right. This is a short, scenic five minute crossing across Loch Linnhe to Ardgour. The ferry departs every half an hour between 6:30am and 9:30pm, and more regularly during busy periods. For more information, please see the Corran Ferry website, for the most up-to-date timetable and fares.
Please check the Corran Ferry Facebook page before travelling to make sure that the ferry is running. In the event that it is not running, you can drive north around Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil via Fort William. Head north through Fort William on the A82, and at the roundabout, take the A830 to Malaig
Although beautiful this route is longer (approx 1h 20mins) and takes you around Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil. Head through Fort William on the A82, then at the roundabout take the A830 to Malaig (sometimes signed the "Road to the Isles"). After Kinlocheil turn left onto the A861 towards Strontian. This will bring you to the Ardgour side of the Corran Ferry, and the remainder of your route remains the same as docking at Ardgour. This is a beautiful drive, but will add at least one hour to your journey.
On arrival at Ardgour, turn left as you exit the ferry - or continue straight if coming by road via Loch Eil - onto the A861 towards Strontian. Please note that some GPS/Sat Nav systems may direct you to turn off too early, via Kingarloch. This route is beautiful, and shorter in distance, but will take considerably longer because of the nature of the road.
After 12 miles (19km), turn left onto the A884, signed towards Lochaline. In a further 17 miles (27km), as you head down the hill into Lochaline, turn right onto the B849 which is signposted to Drimnin. After approximately 10 miles (16km), you'll arrive in Drimnin village. Continue straight through the village and cross over Mungosdail River. The public road turns to the left, but carry on straight up the Estate track, signed Drimnin Estate and the Nc'nean Distillery.
To get to:
Achleanan Farmhouse: continue along the estate track and after half a mile, turn right off the main track - signed to Achleanan & The Farm - and continue through the double gates at the farm. Follow the track uphill and through an additional gate and you will come to Achleanan Farmhouse. Parking is beside the right hand side of the house (What3Words: grid.carbonate.caramel).
The Lodge: continue straight along the main estate track for about 0.7 miles (1km) and The Lodge is on the right, soon after the iron gates and where the track forks towards Nc'nean Distillery (What3Words: indicated.awoken.remotes).
Ena’s Cottage/ Drimnin House: continue along the main estate track past The Lodge and take the next turning on the right (signed P with a red arrow). This track will take you to Ena’s Cottage and the rear of Drimnin House, where there is parking for both properties (What3Words: Drimnin House: exposing.hurricane.kinder; Ena's Cottage: upon.vital.expectant)
