Achleanan Farmhouse is the largest of the holiday cottages on the Estate. Used until 2002 for sheep shearing, this former farmhouse was restored in 2003 and sits alone 500 feet above the Sound of Mull with magnificent sea views to Mull and the Atlantic Ocean.
Achleanan has great facilities and offers the perfect place for a family holiday. The spacious accommodation includes a pine-panelled sitting room with a wood burning stove (logs are provided) flat screen TV with DVD, hi-fi system and comfortable sofas to relax into after long days out exploring the 7,000 acre estate! There is a lovely dining conservatory which takes full advantage of the panoramic views and a separate modern kitchen fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Water is from a private, estate-maintained, supply and is regularly quality tested by the Highland Council.
Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom, a fully tiled shower room and toilet, a large hall/boot room and a separate utility/drying room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Upstairs are another two bedrooms – one twin and one double with a king size bed – and a family bathroom with bath and shower above.
A travel cot for one infant or toddler up to two years old is available on request.
All linen, towels and electricity (plus logs for the stove) are included in the price. Additionally there is oil-fired central heating and double glazing throughout, making Achleanan Farmhouse suitable for holidays all year round.
There is Wi-Fi (a limited satellite package) and mobile phone reception in the area for keeping in touch with the outside world during your stay!
Dogs are welcome at a small additional weekly charge.
There is an enclosed, pretty garden with picnic benches surrounding the property and parking just outside. Smoking is not allowed in the house.
